The essay should be 5-7 pages. APA style is preferred. A reference list is required.
If you have not done so already, engage with/read/talk with the sources you selected in the Module 2 background information assignment. Add to those sources if you feel it is necessary.
Based on this research, write an essay that discusses your experience of engaging with another culture. Answer the following questions while applying concepts from the course learning materials (cite where appropriate):
- Do you feel any differently about that culture after your project? Why or why not?
- What misconceptions did you have that were clarified or proven wrong?
- What will you consider in terms of communication when encountering someone from this culture in the future?
- How can you use what you learned from this project to your future career?
- What did this project teach you about ways of empathizing or understanding someone whose culture you don’t know much about?
- What does it mean to demonstrate respect for different cultural contexts and perspectives in the workplace
